new york — following the launch of its tastemakers series in tampa, wagamama usa brought the experience to midtown manhattan on september 22, welcoming new york media, influencers and guests for a multi-course exploration of the restaurant’s new menu.
held at wagamama midtown, 100 w 55th street, new york, ny 10019, the evening brought guests together to experience a menu spanning new additions and established favorites, with wagamama usa ceo stephen judge joining the event.
among the dishes served were bao bun tacos, ahi tuna nachos and bang bang cauliflower, alongside wagamama classics including chicken katsu and steak bulgogi.
taani maama, director of culinary for wagamama usa, helped guide guests through the menu, providing background on the dishes and insight into the flavors and ingredients behind the latest additions.
beverage played an equally prominent role in the evening. each course was paired with a sake selected to complement the food, with internationally recognized sake expert and wagamama consultant john gauntner leading guests through the pairings and offering insight into the different styles being served. the restaurant’s thai chili wagarita™ and yuzu cocktail were also featured during the evening.
the midtown gathering marked the second stop in wagamama usa’s tastemakers series, which is bringing media and influencers together at restaurants across its u.s. markets to experience the brand’s new menu firsthand.
additional tastemakers events are planned at wagamama locations throughout september and october as the restaurant continues to introduce its expanded food and beverage offerings to guests across the u.s.
